Ozine Fest 2010

Battle of the Bands

Does your band have what it takes to be this year’s Ozine Fest Battle of the Bands winner? Then start strumming those guitars for this year’s Ozine Fest will be another memorable year.

Band members must consist of at least 1 Guitarist, Bassist, Vocalist, and drummer. If your band has this, then book your slot by emailing us at: battleofthebands@otakuzine-mag.com and/or add us at Facebook and kindly submit the following requirements through (PM):

Wait for our confirmation. Please be advised that you only have to send one (1) message. We will be accepting ten (10) bands. Each band is required to perform one (1) whole song and one (1) TV Size music from an Anime Series, OAVs, J/K/C series, etc. Limited slots available.

An Ozine Staff representative will be contacting you to confirm your booking for the Ozine Fest Battle of the Bands. An email confirmation will be sent to you and you will need to print it, and bring it during the contest for confirmation. Rules and other details will also be emailed to the email address you provided on your registration form.

Each band member must present an Ozine Fest Ticket purchased from the ticket booth, or from our affiliates. The No ticket, No Contest policy will be strictly implemented. The Contest will be divided into two (2) days to distribute batches of contestants. 1st day (April 9) at 2:00PM, and 2nd day (April 10) also at 2:00PM. Chosen bands must be at the venue by 1:00pm. The Top Three finalists will perform on the last day of the event (April 11). *The top three finalists that will perform on Sunday (April 5) will receive a free pass courtesy of the Ozine Fest Team.

The organizers have the right to reject all contestants without prior notice.

Best Band will receive Php 2,000.00 and giftpacks from Psicom Publishing and from other sponsors.

ok guys! sorry if d ako nkasama sa practice cuz i really need some rest.. ive been up for 18 hours since including my work hours yan.. after that spent my time till 2pm for ozine fest meeting and later i have work.. so.. better take care of myself pra d magkasakit for the BIG DAY..

Now here's how the competition will work

1. We need to be there on or before 1:30 pm (Ozine fest is strict about time compliance)

2. BOTB Starts by 2pm and ends 3pm

3. Each band has 10 mins on stage including setup

4. Bands are encouraged to play 1 full song due to the 10 min time limit but if time permits we are allowed to play another TV Size

5. While setting up our gears.. we need to promote MUSICASIA Magazine (desh is on this)

6. we'll perform on the first day of the event (Friday, April 9 2010)

7. Arrangement of the performing bands will be based on first come first basis .. or if all bands will be completed before 1:30 it will be a drawlots.

8. they will contact the winning bands immediately

im thinking of doing zetsubou billy and then after the very exact moment the song ends.. we'll start howling right away.. removing the crossfading drum intro for howling.. :] im not sure if you get it.. if you do.. what do you think about it?
